Chilli paneer is a popular Indo-Chinese starter made by seasoning fried Indian cottage cheese aka paneer in chilli sauce. Paneer Pakora recipe with a twist of onion pakoda which we call "Panion Pakoda". In Hindi, we call them pyaaz ke pakode. Paneer pakode are ready to serve.

  1. Mix all the ingredients for making batter except water and cooking Oil. Make a batter by adding water slowly. Adjust the consistency. Keep aside for half an hour. Mix chopped coriander leaves and grated garlic.
  2. Cut paneer in small pieces for making pakode. Slit green chilli in the centre and fill chaat masala inside.
  3. Heat oil in a karahi and dip paneer pieces and green chilli in batter and leave in karahi. Fry till golden brown. Flip the side and fry from other side also.
  4. Like wise make all the pakodas.
  5. Serve hot with tamarind chutney.

In Hindi, we call them pyaaz ke pakode. Paneer pakode are ready to serve. Sprinkle some chat masala on pokodas. Now add onion, tomato, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste and cook it. A favorite and popular snack dish is the mixveg and paneer Pakode.
