The ingredients needed to make Meat Buns:
  1. Make ready Arabic Dough
  2. Get 1 cup warm water
  3. Get 1 tbs yeast
  4. Take 1 cup flour
  5. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  6. Prepare 1 tbs oil
  7. Take 2 tbs milk powder
  8. Make ready 2 tbs oil
  9. Make ready 1 cup flour
  10. Prepare Steak filling for Buns
  11. Get 500 g rump steak cut in cubes
  12. Prepare 1 medium red onion sliced
  13. Prepare Pinch methi (fenugreek)
  14. Make ready Pinch Jeeru (cumin)
  15. Prepare Pinch Black mustard seeds
  16. Make ready 1/2 tbs vinegar
  17. Get 1 tomato cubed/grated
  18. Make ready 1 tsp Dhania powder
  19. Prepare 1 tsp Jeeru powder
  20. Take 2 tsp Rajahs mild curry powder adjust to taste
  21. Get 1 tsp crushed garlic
  22. Prepare 1/2 tsp crushed ginger
  23. Get 1 tsp red masala
  24. Prepare 1 tbs Soya sauce
  25. Take 1-2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  26. Make ready 1 tsp steak & chops spice
  27. Take 1 tsp Barbecue spice
  28. Make ready 2 tbs oil
  29. Take 2 tbs Chopped Dhania and spring onions
  30. Get 1 potato cubed and boiled till soft
Instructions to make Meat Buns:
  1. Mix warm water, yeast, flour, salt, oil, milk powder and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Add flour and oil. Knead into a smooth dough. Set aside 45 mins. Punch down and form small balls.
  2. Fry red onions in oil together with the dry whole spices (methi (fenugreek), Jeeru (cumin) and Black mustard seeds) until colour begins to change.
  3. Add cubed steak and vinegar Soya sauce and Worcestershire sauce and boil for at least 20 minutes
  4. Once water has dried out add all the spices (red masala, steak & chops spice, Barbecue spice) and the chopped tomato crushed garlic and ginger. Mix nicely and cook until the spices are nicely absorbed and the meat is tender.
  5. Add the boiled cubed potatoes and mix into the cooked steak so the potatoes are coated in the spices and simmer for a few minutes
  6. Remove from heat and add your chopped greens (Dhania and spring onions). Mix nicely and allow to cool completely before filling in the buns
  7. Make a small ball with the dough and flatten put the filling in the center and seal at the bottom
  8. Place on a greased oven tray. Egg wash and sprinkle with black poppy seeds. Bake at 180 degrees for 18 -20 mins until nicely browned
