- Make ready 5-6 curry leaves

- Get 1 Cup Soaked chana dal
- Take 2-3 green chillies
- Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Take to taste Salt
- Take 1/2 tsp asafoetida
- Make ready 3 tbsp Coriander leaves
- Make ready 10-12 curry leaves
- Get 1 tsp crushed Black peppercorns
- Prepare 2-3 Soaked Dry red chillies
- Take as needed Oil to Deep fry
- Get For tempering kadhi We need
- Get 1 tbsp coconut oil (or any other cooking oil)
- Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Take 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Take 6-8 curry leaves

- Take 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
Instructions to make Coconut Kadhi with chana dal dumplings:
- In a pan,take Coriander seeds,urad dal and fenugreek seeds.Dry roast till golden brown on low flame.Transfer to a Plate.In tha same pan add fresh grated coconut and Dry Roast till golden brown.Tranafer to the same Plate.
- Add all these to blender jar.Add Soaked Dry red chillies,Soaked chana dal 2 tbsp,1/2 tsp Turmeric powder and 1 cup water.Blend into fine paste.Take out in a bowl. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.Add paste and Saute for 2-3 Min cover and cook for 5-6 min.
- Add 3 Cups buttermilk.Add salt to taste.Cook for 5-6 min.Add Jaggery and curry leaves.
- To make chana dal dumplings,In a blender jar add 1 Cup Soaked chana dal,2-3 green chillies, Turmeric powder,salt,Asafoetida,Coriander leaves,curry leaves,crushed black peppercorns,Soaked Dry red chillies.Blend to a coarse paste.Heat oil and deep fry small dumplings till golden brown on Medium flame.
- Take out the dumplings in a Plate.To make tempering, heat 1 tbsp oil,add mustard seeds,Cumin seeds and curry leaves.Add tempering to Kadhi.Add few dumplings in Kadhi and cover and cook on low flame for 3-4 min.In a serving bowl Pour kadhi and garnish with Coriander leaves.
- Serve hot,yummy Coconut kadhi with Plain steamed rice or chapatis.
