  1. Make ready 200 gm chick pea
  2. Prepare 3 big onions
  3. Prepare 3 big tomatoes
  4. Get 1 inch ginger
  5. Prepare 7 cloves garlic
  6. Get 3 green chillies
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp garam masala
  8. Make ready 3 tbsp chole masala
  9. Make ready 2 tbsp chilli powder
  10. Prepare Water for boiling
  11. Prepare 2 tbsp kitchen king
  12. Take Salt per taste
  13. Take 2 tbsp oil
  14. Prepare 2 tbsp coriander powder
  15. Prepare 2 tbsp tea powder

Its very tasty and loving in our country. This Punjabi chole recipe is a hearty vegan curry made with boiled chickpeas, onions, tomatoes and a medley of spices. It tastes divine with freshly made puri or bhatura (Indian breads), and even plain rice, white or brown. For making bhatura yeast, baking powder or soda water is used whereas chola puri is made without yeast or any raising agent.

Instructions to make Chole puri:
  1. Soak chick pea for overnight. In morning take cooker add chick pea, water, tea powder bag and salt & give 5/6 whistle. Let it cool and drain the water and tea bag.(make a tea powder potli in cotton cloth)
  2. Take a mixer jar put chopped onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger green chilli and make a smooth paste.
  3. For tempering take a pan and heat it. Take oil and then add this paste in it. Cook it for 10 minutes and add garam masala, kitchen king, cholle masala and red chilli powder. Mix it well add coriander powder.
  4. Let it cook for 2 minutes. Now it's ready to serve with puri.

It tastes divine with freshly made puri or bhatura (Indian breads), and even plain rice, white or brown.
