  6. Get Cooking oil
  7. Prepare 2 tbsp margarine

Add spices to give the food the taste you desire. Add the meat and continue frying as you stir until your beef is almost done. Fry the Onion, tomatoes, green pepper, hot pepper, and garlic together. Continue frying and stirring until the meat is nearly done or until the broth is starting to boil.

Instructions to make Mashed matoke, beef and greens:
  1. Peel your bananas and wash in salty water (reduces the blackish colouration)
  2. Boil them in water until well cooked. Remove excess water if any and mash them until smooth.
  3. Add salt to taste and the margarine. Add your chopped dhania (optional) at this stage.
  4. Stir until well Incorporated. Set aside.
  5. For the beef, cut into cubes (preferred size) and boil in water for about 15-20 mins.
  6. On a different pan, fry your onions in oil until slightly brown. Add the chopped tomatoes, green pepper 1e Lui and the Courgette (and any other vegetables of your choice)
  7. Once cooked, add the boiled meat, salt and any other seasoning. Let it fry until well cooked. You can add a little water to wet it.
  8. For the greens, I had spinach mixed with kales. Clean and cut them.
  9. In a pan, heat oil and onions. Sauté the onions and add the greens. Stir as you fry and add salt to taste.
  10. Once done with the cooking, plate and enjoy your meal.

Fry the Onion, tomatoes, green pepper, hot pepper, and garlic together. Continue frying and stirring until the meat is nearly done or until the broth is starting to boil. Cover and simmer over low heat until plantains are tender and meat is done. Peel the Matoke and mash them with a potato masher until smooth.
