  20. Get 2 big tomatoes
  21. Prepare 3 red chilles
  22. Prepare 1 tsp sugar

  24. Take 1 tsp soya sauce
  25. Make ready 5 garlic cloves
  26. Get 1 inch ginger piece

Veg Momos, a steamed or fried dumpling stuffed with mixed vegetables, is a delicious snack food enjoyed in Tibet region. From last few years, Momos are getting very popular in other parts of India and you can easily prepare them at home by either steaming or deep frying.

Steps to make Veg momos:
  1. Firstly boil tomatoes and red chilles, when done switch off the flame, in a mixer grinder add tomatoes, red chilles,salt,sugar soya sauce, vinegar, ginger garlic and make paste of this
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan add chopped ginger garlic and greenchilles,saute for a minute
  3. Next to this add chopped onion and salt fry till translucent
  4. Now add carrot,capsicum and cabbage and saute for 5 mins, veggies must be little crunchy
  5. Lastly add spring onion greens,pepper powder saute fr 3 mins,add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.stuffing for momos is ready
  6. In a mixing bowl add refined flour, salt and add sufficient water and knead a dough, grease oil 1 tbsp and cover and keep dough to rest for 10 mins
  7. Now pinch a small ball sized dough and flatten, now dust with some maida and start to roll using rolling pin
  8. Roll to almost medium thin circle, around 4-5 inch in diameter, make sure you roll from sides and keep the centre slightly thick
  9. Now place a heaped tbsp of stuffing in centre, start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything, as shown in picture
  10. Heat the steamer and place one banana leaf on tray and arrange momos on the tray
  11. Steam momos for 10-12 mins or till shiny sheen appears over it,once done switch off the flame
  12. Finally veg momos are ready to serve with momos chutney
  13. Note - if u dont have Banana leaf thn you can grease tray and arrange momos on it
