Instructions to make Veg Momos:
  1. Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 3/4 cup maida and salt.
  2. Add water and knead dough for at least 5 minutes.
  3. Knead to a smooth and soft dough adding water as required.
  4. Grease the dough with oil and rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare stuffing by heating 3 tsp oil and saute 3 cloves garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger and 1 tablespoon chilli.
  6. Also, add 1/4 cup onion and saute on high flame.
  7. Further, add 1/2 cup carrot and 1/2 cup cabbage. Stir fry on high flame.
  8. Now add ½ tsp pepper and ½ tsp salt.
  9. Stir-fry without overcooking vegetables. Our stuffing mixture is ready.
  10. After 30 minutes, take the prepared momos dough and knead well again for a minute.
  11. Further, pinch a small ball and flatten.
  12. Now dust with some maida and start to roll using a rolling pin.
  13. Now place a heaped tbsp of prepared stuffing in the centre.
  14. Start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything.
  15. Press in middle and seal the momos forming a bundle.
  16. Heat a steamer and arrange the momos in the tray without touching each other.
  17. Furthermore, steam momos for 10-12 minutes or till shiny sheen appears over it.
  18. Finally, veg momos is ready to enjoy with momos chutney.
